Knitted fabric production
İnterlok Knitted Fabric
Interlock is knitted on double-bed circular machines with cylinder and dial needles set opposite each other. Long and short needles alternate on each bed and knit on alternate feeders, so two rib structures lock into each other. The result is a fabric with two identical smooth faces, about twice the thickness of single jersey, dimensionally stable and free from edge curling. It is the preferred construction for babywear, underwear and premium basics.
Structure and production
We knit interlock on 30–34 inch double-bed machines of 24–28 gauge. Ne 30/1 combed cotton at 24 gauge gives the standard quality; Ne 40/1 at 28 gauge gives a fine, fluid underwear interlock. Equal stitch lengths on cylinder and dial are essential for both faces to look alike. Weights run 180–320 g/m² and open width 150–180 cm; the flat, stable face suits large-area and digital printing better than piqué.
At Meyas Tekstil we balance cylinder and dial stitch length on the sample, record greige and finished weight with post-wash dimensions, and inspect every lot on the light table, since a single faulty needle leaves a line along the whole roll.
Sourcing and sampling

We knit İnterlok on our own circular knitting machines in Kahramanmaraş and follow it from sample to bulk with one team.
Sample
We knit the sample on our own machine park in Kahramanmaraş and report greige and finished weight with post-wash dimensions.
Approval and recipe
Machine, settings and yarn lot of the approved sample go into the recipe; bulk is planned on that recipe.
Production and dispatch
Light-table inspection at the knitting exit, weight and width measured per lot; approved quality ships with traceable lot data.

Questions about İnterlok.
What weight and width is İnterlok produced in?
Our standard weight band is 180–320 g/m²; width: Açık en 150–180 cm. Values outside the band are developed on request; the target is confirmed on the sample with post-wash measurements before bulk is planned.
Which products is İnterlok used for?
Typical end uses are polo, bebek giyim, elbise. Composition options include pamuk, pamuk/elastan, modal; we recommend the yarn and finish according to the product and washing expectations.
How do both faces of a double-bed fabric stay even?
Cylinder and dial stitch lengths are balanced on the sample; an unbalanced setting causes lines or uneven shrinkage on one face. Since a single faulty needle leaves a line along the whole roll, a trial knit and light-table inspection are done for every lot.
