Answers before you order fabric.

Knitted fabric is formed by interlooping a single yarn, while in woven fabric the weft and warp threads cross each other at right angles. This structural difference gives knitted fabric its natural stretch, soft handle and ability to follow the body. Single jersey, interlock and rib are different constructions built on the same looping principle.

On our circular knitting machines we produce single jersey, two- and three-thread fleece, rib, 2x2 rib, interlock and the piqué family, alongside ottoman, cardigan stitch and double-face constructions. Which structure is right depends on the end use of the collection, the target handle and the yarn preference, and we decide it together. We can also develop structures outside this list on request.

Single jersey is a basic single-bed construction with loops on the face and floats on the back, which gives a light and fluid handle. Interlock is formed by interlocking two rib structures, so both faces are smooth, the fabric feels firmer and edge curling stays low. If lightness is your priority single jersey usually fits; if you need a clean surface and shape retention, interlock is generally the better choice.

There is no fixed minimum order quantity; it depends on the knitted structure, the yarn type and the number of colours. Dye lot size and yarn supply are the deciding factors, so we agree the quantity together according to the request. Share the details of your project and we can discuss the most workable quantity for it.

We first discuss the structure, weight, width and handle you are targeting, and review your reference fabric if you have one. The sample is then knitted on a circular knitting machine, checked after dyeing and finishing, and sent to you. If a revision is needed we run the sample again, and the bulk production plan opens according to sample approval.

Weight and width depend on the chosen knitted structure and the machine gauge; the same structure can run lighter or firmer with different yarn counts. We evaluate open-width and tubular alternatives together, according to your cutting plan. Send us your target values and we clarify the workable range before sampling.

We work with cotton, combed cotton, viscose, modal, polyester and their elastane blends. Yarn choice directly affects the handle, dimensional stability and wash performance of the fabric, so we decide it together at the start of the project. On request we can also evaluate recycled or certified yarn alternatives.

Alongside greige knitted fabric we also supply dyed and finished fabric; dyeing and printing are carried out with our partners around Kahramanmaraş. Colour is worked through lab dips and an approved colour card. For printing requests, the design and the repeat size are confirmed together during sampling.

We do not quote a fixed delivery calendar; yarn supply, the dye lot and the order quantity are the main factors that set the timing. The process is planned from sample approval onwards, and the production and shipping schedule is then shared in writing. If your deadline is critical, we recommend planning it together before the order.

Our production takes place in Kahramanmaraş, one of Türkiye’s established textile centres, in our own machine park. Being close to the yarn and dyehouse ecosystem makes it easier for us to follow knitted fabric processes end to end.
