Dual Pike Knitted Fabric
Dual piqué is a technical double-bed knit in which cylinder and dial run different tuck patterns or different yarns, so the two faces carry distinct piqué characters or colours. One face may show a classic single or double piqué cell while the other is plain or finely textured; binding stitches at set feeders join the layers and are hidden inside the repeat when the faces differ in colour. The double-bed construction makes it more stable than single-bed piqué and removes edge curling.
Structure and production
We knit it on 30–34 inch double-bed machines of 20–24 gauge with Ne 20/1–30/1 cotton/polyester or cotton/elastane; when the faces use different counts, stitch lengths are set separately. For moisture management the inner face can be polyester and the outer face cotton. Weights run 220–340 g/m² and open width 160–185 cm; yarn consumption is high because of the two layers and the tuck loops.
At Meyas Tekstil we define yarn, pattern and binding for each face together, check binding invisibility and cell evenness on the light table, and match the two yarn lots in planning to avoid shade or shrinkage differences.
Sourcing and sampling
One team from sample to bulk.
We knit Dual Pike on our own circular knitting machines in Kahramanmaraş and follow it from sample to bulk with one team.
Sample
We knit the sample on our own machine park in Kahramanmaraş and report greige and finished weight with post-wash dimensions.
Approval and recipe
Machine, settings and yarn lot of the approved sample go into the recipe; bulk is planned on that recipe.
Production and dispatch
Light-table inspection at the knitting exit, weight and width measured per lot; approved quality ships with traceable lot data.

What weight and width is Dual Pike produced in?
Our standard weight band is 220–340 g/m²; width: Açık en 160–185 cm. Values outside the band are developed on request; the target is confirmed on the sample with post-wash measurements before bulk is planned.
Which products is Dual Pike used for?
Typical end uses are polo, ceket, spor giyim. Composition options include pamuk/polyester, pamuk/elastan; we recommend the yarn and finish according to the product and washing expectations.
Do the cells close after washing?
In tuck-stitch structures the cell appearance can change during dyeing and drying. We confirm compacting and stenter settings with a wash test on the sample and keep the approved cell character in bulk with the same finishing recipe.
