Üç İplik Knitted Fabric
Three-thread fleece is a full-bodied single-bed knit built from a ground yarn, a finer binding yarn and a thick loop yarn. The face looks like single jersey; the back carries long loops that are brushed into a soft fleece. It is the standard fabric for winter sweatshirts and hoodies.
Structure and production
The binding yarn bridges ground and loop yarn, so the loops can be raised without unravelling, which is why this construction is preferred for brushed fleece. We knit it on 30–34 inch single-bed machines of 18–22 gauge, typically with Ne 30/1 cotton or cotton/polyester ground, Ne 40/1–50/1 binding and Ne 6/1–10/1 loop yarn. Weights run 280–420 g/m²; brushing slightly reduces weight while raising thickness and softness, so greige and finished weights are stated separately. Open width is 170–190 cm.
At Meyas Tekstil we measure greige weight, brushed weight and thickness on the sample and record all three in the production recipe. Brushing is planned with our finishing partners in Kahramanmaraş on the same recipe, and the team that developed the sample follows bulk.

We knit the sample on our own machine park in Kahramanmaraş and report greige and finished weight with post-wash dimensions.
Approval and recipe
Machine, settings and yarn lot of the approved sample go into the recipe; bulk is planned on that recipe.
Production and dispatch
Light-table inspection at the knitting exit, weight and width measured per lot; approved quality ships with traceable lot data.

Questions about Üç İplik.
What weight and width is Üç İplik produced in?
Our standard weight band is 280–420 g/m²; width: Açık en 170–190 cm. Values outside the band are developed on request; the target is confirmed on the sample with post-wash measurements before bulk is planned.
Which products is Üç İplik used for?
Typical end uses are hoodie, kışlık eşofman, dış giyim. Composition options include pamuk/polyester, %100 pamuk; we recommend the yarn and finish according to the product and washing expectations.
How are edge curling and shrinkage controlled?
In single-bed structures the cut edge curls towards the face and lengthwise shrinkage is higher than in double-bed fabrics. Compacting and the right stenter setting bring post-wash dimensions into the target range, and a light finish before cutting helps.
