İki İplik Knitted Fabric
Two-thread fleece, known abroad as French terry, is a medium-weight single-bed fabric in which a ground yarn and a thicker loop yarn are knitted in the same course. The face looks like single jersey; the back carries the loops laid by the sinkers. It is the base fabric for sweatshirts and jogging wear.
Structure and production
We knit it on 30–34 inch single-bed sinker machines of 18–24 gauge. A typical pairing is Ne 30/1 or 24/1 cotton or cotton/polyester for the ground and Ne 10/1–16/1 for the loop yarn. Weights run 220–320 g/m²; the loop yarn count, its tie-in repeat (1x1 to 1x3) and stitch length decide the final weight and how full the back feels. Open width is usually 170–190 cm, and compacting keeps post-wash shrinkage under control.
At Meyas Tekstil we first settle the target weight and the back character, then fix loop yarn, repeat and sinker setting on the sample. Ground and loop yarn lots are matched in planning, because mixed lots can shift shade and handle.

We knit the sample on our own machine park in Kahramanmaraş and report greige and finished weight with post-wash dimensions.
Approval and recipe
Machine, settings and yarn lot of the approved sample go into the recipe; bulk is planned on that recipe.
Production and dispatch
Light-table inspection at the knitting exit, weight and width measured per lot; approved quality ships with traceable lot data.

What weight and width is İki İplik produced in?
Our standard weight band is 220–320 g/m²; width: Açık en 170–190 cm. Values outside the band are developed on request; the target is confirmed on the sample with post-wash measurements before bulk is planned.
Which products is İki İplik used for?
Typical end uses are sweatshirt, eşofman, şort. Composition options include pamuk/polyester, pamuk/elastan; we recommend the yarn and finish according to the product and washing expectations.
How are edge curling and shrinkage controlled?
In single-bed structures the cut edge curls towards the face and lengthwise shrinkage is higher than in double-bed fabrics. Compacting and the right stenter setting bring post-wash dimensions into the target range, and a light finish before cutting helps.
